I was just past Oldwoods and the rear tire felt soft. I turned onto path and it was low. I couldn't see anything sticking out but saw that the tread was worn through. I pumped in some air but not enough to ride. I got off and called dad. And called dad. I called him 15 times hanging up after the voice mail message started. I called the house phone thinking he might have had his iPhone on silent for church. I saw that recents linked the house phone to Ryan and remembered his iPhone is on the kitchen table. I called that iPhone and dad answered. He came to pick me up. By then I had walked about a mile.

I rode my 820. Such a different ride. Easier and harder at the same time. I like sitting a bit upright but I go slower. However, I was surprised when my Apple Watch said I had average 12.1 mph for the first five miles. I have been averaging that on my road bike. I assumed it was because I was more fatigued and heavier. But maybe it was tire wearing out? I wonder.

I rode CLR to Mansfield to SR56. I went west all the way to Collier Parkway. Planet Smoothie is in the shopping center but tucked away on the side. At 9:00, it was empty. I saw no bike rack nor any place to lock my bike. I saw no other people either so took a chance and left it unlocked. 
The inside is plain and a bit bare compared to Smoothie King with their emphasis on power bars and protein powders. I tried an Orange Push-up. It really tastes like one! $5.34
I sat outside and drank my smoothie. 
I rode back but went south at Cypress Creek to CLR. CLR has no bike lane and no shoulder in some parts. Cars came me enough room and I never felt unsafe.

Planet Smoothie kept popping up on my list when I looked for smoothie places. I kept ignoring it because the route there is not great. There are bike lanes but it is on a busy and fast highway.
I decided to get it done in case something else pops up later in the week.
The weather was good, cool and overcast. The traffic was heavy but didn’t bother me.
There wasn’t much to see as far as the scenery is concerned. This is a commercial zone, I only stopped for traffic lights.

Planet smoothie is in a shopping center but along a side road. I saw no bike rack near by and no where to lock my bike. There were no others around and took a chance and didn’t lock my bike. 
I have never been to a Planet Smoothie. I saw a poster for a Orange Push-Up Smoothie and it sounded good. I ordered a small. It was really good and did taste like an orange push-up.
I sat outside and finished my smoothie.

The ride home was fine. I chose a different route which lacks a bike lane and at times, a shoulder. The view is a bit better but mostly houses and empty fields.

I enjoyed coffeeneuring this year. I might enjoy it more if I had someone to ride with me. I am not sure why the cost of smoothies surprised me. I paid cash for most of them instead of using my debit card so I really paid attention when the dollars leave my hand. I didn’t have any extra costs like last year so overall, this year was much cheaper.
