The whole trip was for Starbucks. They only give you one day to redeem your birthday treat.
I grabbed the wrong drink! Actually they had the wrong drink with the wrong tag and I didn't look at the cup.
The caramel crunch Frappuccino is good but I should not have gotten the venti. I am already full and I still have 2/3 left.
The ride home was windy as heck!
I got home to find a floral bouquet where my bike should go. It is from the neighbors who walk their three big dogs in the morning.

Apple Watch has challenged me to walk 4.5 miles per day. The only way for me to do that is to walk in the morning instead of riding. There is a MUCH greater chance of me riding after work than walking. 

I like having the sun out while I ride. But it quickly sets after 5 so I can’t get in many miles. 

I tried a couple of different bike apps but went back to Wahoo but without the heart rate. Realizing I don’t need this information has made me see that I don’t need to worry about my speed too much. I was never fast, will never be fast. I should just enjoy the ride.

Started the ride at Owensboro. 
Plenty of parking. More people than I expected. 
Path is smooth and flat. Worried that I will be riding into the wind on the way home. But the path has trees on both sides. 
Walmart distribution center is huge. About a half mile long. 

Some benches and picnic tables along the route. A few crossings. One overpass. 
Restrooms just passed mile 15. Didn't use the restrooms but sat at a picnic table and ate one of my sandwiches.

The ride back was slow. The headwind was not too bad except when the path was open. Around mile 38, I was feeling it. But I kept pedaling. 

I stopped at mile 44. I ate the last sandwich and opened the Honey Stinger chews. I ate one per each mile. It was a good change from chewing gum. 
I made it up overpass and decided to stop and take a photo. My thighs cramped. 
Each mile was a chore but I kept going. 
My legs really cramped up when I was done.

Carrot weather reported a western wind so I rode to Tampa Palms. I rode on Squire because it looked like it went through. Now I see it was a cart path for the golf course. I rode on the path by the utility easement. It was rough and didn't go to far. I won't do that again. 
Rode to Starbucks hoping for one last chestnut praline. It was out of stock. 
Some old guy is always looking at me when I look up. And he looks angry.
Service is very slow. 
Ugh. Finally got my drink and there is coffee in there. I hate coffee. I took it back so they could remake it.

Windy AF
It took me 90 minutes to get to Starbucks in Zephyrhills. (15.84 miles) There is construction along US301 and the little should that it there is gone for a future turn lane. It was not fun. 
Vanilla Crème but with Irish Cream instead of vanilla. 
The drink was OK but a little less creamy than I would have liked. 
The ride back was fast. The tailwind was great. I rode SR54 to MPB. There is a narrow shoulder during construction.

Windy. Not as bad as yesterday but it is still too much. Decided to ride a shorter route today. (I have extra days off coming up and will ride more then.)
I went to BBD to SR54. I know why I don't like riding up this way on the MUP, drivers pulling up to BBD do no look my way and block the path. 
Starbucks for Vanilla Crème with Sugar Cookie Syrup and Holiday Sprinkles. 
Took the lid off and could smell the sugar cookie. But the whip was all melted so they didn't add the extra I requested. 
Yes it tastes like a sugar cookie. But I miss the crunch of the cookie. 
I rode SR54 to FoxWood to Chancey to MPB. I wanted to avoid MPB as much as possible. North of SR56, it is busy and in need of replacing. I rode along the MUP but found it was even worse!
Around mile 16, my legs were done. I was glad I didn't do another long route.

Had to wait for the rain to pass. Roads were wet. 
Stopped at Oliver's to have them fix the front gear. I can't shift into the top gear. They adjusted it. It is still difficult but no longer impossible. 
Rode to Tampa Palms. I rode through twice. Angry driver in a yellow keep honked and yelled at me to ride on the sidewalk. Asshole. 
Turned north to find the wind had shifted and was against me. Figures. 
Stopped at Starbucks for Caramel Brûlée Crème. 
Aside from the baristas, I was the only one wearing a mask. Sigh. 
Not sure about the crunchy caramel pieces but the drink is yummy. 
Rode home against the wind.

NW windy. Rode up to SR54 to the outlet mall. The clouds were the perfect wispy clouds I love so much. Traffic wasn't too bad but Starbucks was busy. I ordered a Toasted White Hot Chocolate with coconut milk. No sprinkles. Boo. 
Still pretty tasty. Like a sugar cookie. 
Next time I will try steamed milk with Irish cream sauce. 
The ride back was OK. Not as fast as I would have liked. The shoulder is narrower along SR54.
