cycling week 19

This week, I realized that I can no longer achieve the bike miles I did while I was unemployed. I did pretty well for 2 years. But I felt the physical struggle last fall. With my dad’s accident, I just don’t have the time to ride that much. And it is OK.

I pumped up the tires and changed the battery  in the cadence sensor. Felt like something was wrong. Thought my brake was rubbing against the tire. Turns out my tire was running against the frame.

One loop.

The road at Beardsley and MPB is roughed up to accept the top layer of asphalt. I rode in the gutter as much as possible.

I saw the man who walks MWF. I had never seen him in the daylight and did not know it was him. He recognized me.

TIL that "it's not always gas" can pertain to burps as well. I had some water then felt a burp. I let it go and immediately felt my breakfast in my mouth. I spit it out but kept riding. When people say "I threw up a little in my mouth" I don't think they meant this. I have felt things come up my throat but I managed to swallow before it got farther.

One loop.
