goodnight fluffy!
/
About a year ago, Andy started getting into stuffed animals. He would play with them during the day but never slept with an animal or doll. But then one night he wanted one. One grew into two and two into three and now we have 10. (I wonder if we will have to add one more when he turns 11 next month?) I have to say goodnight to them all, in order. We start with Fluffy. He is a cheap dollar store dog he got from one of his bus drivers. One of the ears fell off but I don't sew. Then there is Kenny. He is a dog we got from Build-a-Bear. Kenny barks and Andy covers his ears but I still have to make him bark before I go on to Cat. That's short for Cat in the Hat. Another one Build-a-Bear. Cat is quiet. We like Cat. In Cat's lap are Thing 1 and Thing 2. No noise from those two delinquents. Next comes Bird, Big Bird to those who are not on friendly terms. Again from Build-a-Bear. He has four random phrases. Three of them are OK but when he says "Let's Play!" I have to tell him it's time for sleep. That makes Andy giggle which is always important. On to Felix. He is a sea turtle we got from the zoo. I do not recall how he got his name. Then we add George and Harlan. They sit in Kenny's lap. Yes, they are both Curious George monkeys but we can't have 2 Georges. I think Ryan came up with Harlan's name. Finally, there is Boo. Remember her from Monster's Inc? She doesn't say much except for "Kitty" and "Mike Wisowski." Actually, I have to make her "talk" in a baby voice. Andy hasn't asked for that in a while.
After all that, I have to give Andy kisses. Ten of them since he is 10 years old.
Goodnight, sleep tight, I love you.
Turn off the light when you get sleepy.
Stay in bed until 6 o'clock.
See you on Thursday!
Whew! I am tired and ready for bed now.
