I purchased this Fearless kit from Julie Billingsley yesterday. I was putting it away today and wanted to use it. I love the gears. Then I saw the layout template from Darcy Baldwin and knew the two were meant to be.
Almost didn't get to this today. I got an email from Two Peas and saw this new kit from Polka Dot Pixels, Country, and had to have it. I went to my go to color block templates, and made a quick card. I am a sucker for gingham, bandana and denim prints.
Simple grid card sketch. I did combine 2 blocks so I could use the fun brush from Katie Pertiet. All brushes by Katie Pertiet. Papers & spots from Splendid Fiins, Keaton's Closet.
Finally I can use one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps, Colorful Tree. I bought the rubber version and never used knowing I could never make it look this good. I bought the digital version as soon as I saw waiting for the day. I ended up using the colored png file rather than try to brush on the color myself. Papers are from Katie Pertiet's Notebook series.
I saw this template alone in a folder called 4x5. I assumed it was a Deluxe Cuts template and went to find the proper name. After a 20 minute google search, I realized I had all the Deluxe Cuts templates labelled and remembered where I saw this. It was a Christmas card design I found at some web site and adapted it for a client. The template is actually 4.5x5 which I think it a standard size at Mpix. So maybe I need to adapt more to this size if I want to use them for client photo cards. Digi papers and elements are Cosmo Cricket Material Girl.
Sketch is adapted from a Deluxe Designs template. Papers are from Ocean Wide Designs, Stroll on the Wharf. Brushes from Art Warehouse, Katie Pertiet and Tracie Stroud.
If I were organized, I would have made end of year cards for the teachers. Thankfully, it is not really expected in middle school. Digi papers from Basic Grey Recess.
