Sketch is by Scrapping With Liz. I love the mosaic number. I chose Echo Park's Little Girl papers and elements to created a quilted card. The template is actually a 12x12 template so each of those blocks are meant to hold photos. I think this would be a fun layout for a birthday page or maybe a year end page. Do know that the digital file will be huge until you flatten. My pre-flattened file was over 1GB!

This sketch is another old template from Deluxe Cuts. I love colorblocking. I have really liked Webster's Pages. But I have never purchased or used any of their papers. I did finally buy Yacht Club and used it for this card. I was a bit disappointed because the papers were not 3600x3600 but were 2400x2400. (I have emailed customer service and was told that that 2400x2400 at 300 dpi is high enough quality to be enlarged without loss. Yet every other digital designers does 3600x3600 at 300 dpi.) If I were trying to use these for a 12x12 layout, they would not fit or would be a lesser quality. Luckily, I was making a card so all the papers fit. The papers really are meant for a full layout page; not to be cut up and used for colorblocking. Brushes are from Katie Pertiet.

One of the best things about the iPad is that I can easily save images I see while surfing the net. The problem is that it doesn't save the source. So I am not sure where I found the inspiration for the sketch. Now I use pinterest to save cool stuff which does save the source info. I used Libby Pritchett's Pie Are Squared for my nephew in-law's birthday card. Birthday definition is from Hero Arts. Gears are from That Girl.

I have been lagging with the cards. I know I have one posted each day, but sometimes I struggle to get them done. I am doing more scrapbooking and leave the card making for last. Then today, I realized I have a lot of cards that need to be done for May & June. I finally wrote them down in a list and have 13 more to do. Today I did one for a friend. I used an old Deluxe Cuts card template. The papers are from Splendid Fiins, Keaton's Closet. Brushes are from Hero Arts, Cathy Zielske & Katie Pertiet.
