Wow. A good week for riding. Reading it was my last week for the Apple Watch challenge, I knew I could take any easy days. Even when I didn’t feel like riding, I wandering through new developments and racked up the miles. I love that I got to 141 miles and my longest ride was only 29 miles.

I rode to the new arena. There is also a hotel back there than I didn't know about.

The ride back was nice with the tailwind. 
Turns out I needed the extra water. I drank all of mine by mile 25. 
Ryan laughed at my route since I rode all around just to avoid the mess at SR56 and I75. But I don't like riding on sidewalks and the bike path is gone during construction.

A better week for weather and riding. Well, except for my seat post bolt breaking while I was riding on Monday. 
That meant I had to ride the 820 the rest of the week. Slow. So slow. But that didn’t matter as the Apple Watch has challenged me to workout 160 minutes per day!

I put on my sweatpants but skipped the bike shorts. (Mistake!)
I put on two base layer tops and my fleece jacket. (I have a rain slicker but it is too snug for riding.) I wore my boots. This was my biggest mistake. I forgot that these are my lighter weight boots that vent which means they also let in the water. 
By mile 2, my sweatpants were soaked through. 
By mile 3, I could feel the water sloshing around in my boots. 
By mile 4, my underwear was soaked and going places I will not discuss. 
By mile 5, my hands were frozen even though I was wearing thick gloves. 
The only part of my that stayed warm and dry was my head. I wore a fleece cap under my helmet.

I rode to Publix to get my birthday cupcakes. They had only one kind of jumbo cupcake. They were labeled hazelnut but turned out to be peanut butter. (I hope no one has an allergy.) I took the second one home to dad.
The whole trip was for Starbucks. They only give you one day to redeem your birthday treat.
I grabbed the wrong drink! Actually they had the wrong drink with the wrong tag and I didn't look at the cup.
The caramel crunch Frappuccino is good but I should not have gotten the venti. I am already full and I still have 2/3 left.
The ride home was windy as heck!
I got home to find a floral bouquet where my bike should go. It is from the neighbors who walk their three big dogs in the morning.

Apple Watch has challenged me to walk 4.5 miles per day. The only way for me to do that is to walk in the morning instead of riding. There is a MUCH greater chance of me riding after work than walking. 

I like having the sun out while I ride. But it quickly sets after 5 so I can’t get in many miles. 

I tried a couple of different bike apps but went back to Wahoo but without the heart rate. Realizing I don’t need this information has made me see that I don’t need to worry about my speed too much. I was never fast, will never be fast. I should just enjoy the ride.
